Job summary

TEGNA is seeking an innovative television anchor to develop newscasts for our OTT/CTV streaming platforms. The role blends traditional anchoring with streaming content, demanding a strong on-air presence and a passion for breaking news.

We value leadership, real-time decision making, and technical know‑how with streaming and editing tools. The candidate will anchor livestreams, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and book experts for rapid coverage from Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of reporting and anchoring experience.
• Confident on-camera delivery with strong news judgment.
• Proven leadership and ability to motivate and coordinate teams on multiple projects.
• Experience with live news coverage and enterprise storytelling.
• Familiarity with vMix, Cuez, Edius and/or Adobe Premiere.
• Ability to work 100% in-person in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Anchor multiple hours of livestreamed newscasts daily.
• Book experts to respond to breaking and developing news.
• Generate unique stories and streaming show ideas for OTT/CTV platforms.
• Lead content and production decisions and collaborate with the team.
• Edit video for VOD and support streaming content.
• Contribute ideas and adapt quickly to new formats and platforms.
