Job description

Joe Hollywood is one of the fastest-growing brands in sports cards and live commerce, now generating more than $50M in annual sales, built in under four years on a community of more than 500,000 collectors. We sell live every day across multiple studios.

This is the room where it happens. If you want to learn live commerce from the inside, at the company setting the pace in this category, this is the seat. Several of the people running things here started exactly where this job starts.

The Role

The Streaming Assistant is the operational partner to the on-camera streamer. You set up the show, support it live, and close it out. Your job is to make sure every item that sells is the right item, at the right price, to the right buyer, with the right label on it when it leaves the desk.

What You Will Do
  • Set Up the Show: Review the show plan with the streamer, verify listings and approved pricing, and organize product, bins, racks, and supplies so everything is easy to find and safely separated.
  • Check the Gear: Test cameras, lighting, microphones, label printers, and streaming software before broadcast.
  • Support the Stream Live: Follow the streamer's cues, stage the next item, pin and unpin listings, and keep the show moving without interrupting it.
  • Track Quantities in Real Time: Watch stock on memorabilia and flash sales, and tell the streamer before an item runs out.
  • Match Buyer to Product to Label: Confirm the buyer, order, printed label, and physical item all agree before anything moves to packing. Catch missed, duplicate, or damaged labels at the desk.
  • Handle High-Value Items: Recognize when an item needs special handling, secure it, and notify the right people. A single card here can be worth more than a car.
  • Keep Categories Separate: Sold, unsold, giveaway, trade, and spotlight items never get mixed.
  • Close Out the Show: Reconcile what sold against inventory, return everything to its place, complete the show sheet, reset the station, and hand off cleanly to the next shift.
  • Escalate: When the product, price, quantity, buyer, order, or label is uncertain, hold the item and flag it. Nothing ships until it is right, and the show keeps running.
What We Look For
  • Detail Under Pressure: You catch the mismatch that everyone else scrolls past, and you catch it while the show is running.
  • Composure: Live broadcast, fast pace, things go wrong. You stay calm and keep working.
  • Clear Communication: You speak up quickly and professionally when something is off, to streamers, leads, and shipping.
  • Discretion: Buyer addresses, messages, internal pricing, and staff conversations stay off camera and out of public chat.
  • Careful Hands: You handle trading cards and signed memorabilia like they are worth what they are worth.
  • Coachable: You will be trained and certified on a defined standard. You take feedback and apply it.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Whatnot, livestream selling, ecommerce operations, or order fulfillment.
  • Familiarity with sports cards, autographed memorabilia, or collectibles.
  • Comfort troubleshooting printers, label systems, OBS, or studio audio and lighting.
Training and Certification

You will not be thrown on a live show on day one. New Streaming Assistants move through four stages, Introduced, Practiced, Observed, and Qualified, and certification requires demonstrating each critical skill accurately and without prompting on a real show. Full details are in the Streaming Assistant Role Standard, which you receive on day one.

Working Conditions
  • Active live-commerce studio. Extended standing or sitting, repeated product handling, and moving supplies and product boxes.
  • Evenings, weekends, and extended shows are part of the schedule. Assignments change with the show calendar.
  • Reasonable accommodations available under applicable law and company policy.
Compensation and Benefits

$20 to $25 per hour depending on experience.

Health, dental, vision coverage for full-time roles.

Paid time off plus company holidays.

Company merchandise and access to everything we do.
