Job summary

Urban Sky, a Denver‑based aerospace startup, seeks a hands‑on electro‑mechanical assembler to build avionics and payloads for production and R&D. You’ll assemble subsystems and run semi‑automated tests in an ESD‑controlled environment, following detailed work instructions and BOMs.

You’ll partner with Electrical Engineering to troubleshoot issues, document findings, and drive fixes to root cause while maintaining quality records.

Qualifications

• Must have U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort with repetitive, hands-on manufacturing tasks.
• Reads and follows work instructions, BOMs, and quality documentation.
• Willing to work 8–12 hour shifts, with overtime and schedule changes.
• Lean manufacturing familiarity; RCA and FMEA methods helpful.
• Technical writing experience would help.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate electro‑mechanical assemblies for avionics and payloads.
• Execute semi‑automated testing on completed builds and subsystems.
• Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with the Electrical Engineering team; capture findings and track fixes.
