Job summary

New York Life Direct is offering a 10-week internship focused on strategic planning, portfolio management, and executive communications. You’ll collaborate across the Business Planning & Strategy team and cross-functional stakeholders to support planning activities and enhance reporting.

The role is designed for rising juniors and seniors with strong analytical and organizational skills, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and keen to learn AI-enabled planning tools. Eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree and entering junior or senior year.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with data-driven decision making.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to present information clearly.
• Collaborative and curious approach; willingness to learn across functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; interest in AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual Strategic Initiative Planning process by coordinating planning activities and materials.
• Support portfolio management within Target Process and SAFe Agile; maintain information for work and initiatives.
• Configure and enhance reporting within Target Process to support reviews and leadership meetings.
• Provide project updates and inputs for leadership communications and business updates.
• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional discussions; present outcomes to the Business Planning & Strategy team at internship conclusion.
