About the Role

We’re seeking a Strategy & Operations Lead with a sharp analytical mind, negotiation savvy, and a bias toward action to lead and support insurance contracting efforts. You’ll work directly with leadership and external payors to secure competitive reimbursement rates, expand network access, and drive critical strategic initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone 3-6 years out of undergrad with experience in consulting, investment banking, startups, or high-performance environments who’s hungry to make an impact and grow quickly.

Responsibilities
  • Own key aspects of payor contracting, including outreach, communication, tracking, and relationship management.
  • Negotiate directly with insurance payors to secure more favorable reimbursement rates and expand provider access across markets.
  • Analyze contract terms and rate benchmarks to identify opportunities for optimization and stronger margins.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, operations, and legal to standardize workflows and accelerate network growth.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to track contracting performance, KPIs, and provider network progress.
  • Lead special projects across business development, ops, and strategy as the company scales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-6 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, VC/PE, founder/startup environments, or similar analytical/fast-paced roles.
  • Strong negotiation instincts and confidence in external communication.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work with messy or ambiguous data.
  • Organized, execution-focused, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passionate about behavioral health, healthcare systems, or healthcare innovation.
  • Available to work full-time and in-person at our San Francisco office (5 days/week).

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000. Total compensation for this position may also include stock options. Note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individual’s relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors.
