Job summary

Codes Health, Inc. is seeking a Strategy & Operations professional to shape and scale our Records Retrieval team in New York, NY. This full-time, in-person role emphasizes autonomy and ownership, with responsibilities spanning hiring, training, process design, and performance tracking.

You will help structure the organization for growth, define what success looks like, and create internal dashboards and tools to improve efficiency. This is a high-impact, hands-on role in a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities

• Create new-hire orientation and continuous training programs for records roles.
• Define and track performance of the Records Team, both collectively and individually.
• Restructure internal organizations to improve efficiency and reward top performers.
• Design internal processes and SOPs used daily by the Records Team.
• Model capacity and margins to meet demand from new customers and volume.
• Build operational improvements (dashboards, automation tools) to streamline tracking and visibility.
• Collaborate with engineering to build internal products that streamline record retrieval operations.

At Codes Health, we are building the modern platform for medical record retrieval. Legacy record retrieval is notoriously slow and unreliable; our system uses AI to deliver decision-ready records much faster and more accurately.

Started just over a year ago, our volume is doubling MoM with a clear path to category leadership. We support everything from Personal Injury Law to Specialty Healthcare. We are a well-funded, rapidly growing team focused on growing 100x from where are today.

About the Role

Strategy & Operations — (New York, NY)

Full-time | In-person | 2+ years of relevant experience required

Operations are core to us as a company. Our customers entrust us with their most sensitive and mission-critical records; mistakes in retrieval directly lead to lost settlements and delayed patient care.

Our Strategy & Operations team owns the day-to-day execution and management of our Records Retrieval Team. You will help shape the team from the ground-up: hiring and training, process design, performance tracking. This hire is someone who can thrive with an extremely high degree of autonomy and ownership, and is someone who thinks as much about what we will need to succeed in a year as much as tomorrow.

What you’ll do

• Create new-hire orientation and continuous training programs for records roles

• Define and track performance of the Records Team, in aggregate and individually

• Restructure internal organizations to optimize efficiency and reward top performers

• Design the internal processes and SOPs used daily by the Records Team

• Model internal capacity and margin constraints to meet the demands of new customers and volume

• Build operational improvements (Dashboards, Zapiers, Retool, etc.) to streamline tracking and visibility

• Work with engineering to build new internal products to streamline record retrieval operations

Who you are

• A top-tier operator with 2+ years of experience in startups or high-growth industries.

• Possess a strong, analytical mind, informed by data-driven decisions.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and starting from scratch. In many cases you will define what good looks like.

• Technical or technical-adjacent: you should be able to build quick automations, tooling and dashboards, or eager to learn how to.

• An excellent communicator. You will work directly with the records team to improve performance and solicit feedback.

• Meticulously organized — you thrive in creating processes and improving visibility throughout the organization.
