Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Corporate Strategy Manager to drive cross-functional strategic initiatives from end to end in a remote US setting. You will build and refine financial models, develop business cases, and craft executive-grade materials for senior leadership.

You will analyse markets, sizing, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic options, while partnering with product, commercial, finance, and corporate development teams to ensure rigorous, evidence-based recommendations.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business development, or related field in a multinational or complex organisation
• Proven ability to independently execute complex analyses and deliver structured, insight-driven recommendations across strategic projects
• Strong financial modelling and business case development skills, with comfort working across ambiguous problem spaces
• Excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and visual formats; proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and executive documents
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously under time pressure
• Structured problem-solving skills with ability to apply analytical frameworks to decompose challenges
• Collaborative team player with cross-functional relationship skills
• Commercial acumen with ability to translate business drivers into strategic implications
• Intellectually curious with interest in education, technology, or related sectors

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex strategic workstreams and mid-size projects end-to-end, structuring problems and synthesising findings into actionable recommendations
• Utilise market research, competitive assessments, and market sizing to inform strategic choices across Pearson's business units
• Build financial models and business cases evaluating strategic options, assumptions, risks, and KPIs
• Produce executive-ready materials including presentations, memos, and briefing documents for internal stakeholders
• Partner with product, commercial, finance, and corporate development to support cross-functional initiatives
• Monitor KPIs and track progress of strategic initiatives within Group Strategy planning processes
• Mentor colleagues by sharing analytical methods, frameworks, and communication best practices
