Humanity AI is seeking a senior strategist to lead grantmaking and ecosystem-building efforts in a hybrid NYC setting. You will shape a multi-million-dollar portfolio, build trusted relationships with grantees and funders, and guide how philanthropy can influence the future of AI with civil society and public-interest partners.

You will work closely with the Executive Director to define priorities, measure impact, and communicate a clear narrative that aligns with Humanity AI’s mission to serve

Competenze

• 8+ years in philanthropic grantmaking, field-building, or program leadership with portfolio responsibility.
• Sophisticated understanding of AI governance and public-interest technology with credible relationships.
• Proven track record forging trusted relationships across grantees, funders and policy communities.
• Learning-driven strategist using evidence to evolve strategy and communicate with diverse audiences.
• Proactive problem solver who partners with the ED in a new organization.
• Ally to historically overlooked groups with ability to amplify diverse voices.

Mansioni

• Translate strategy into a multi-year grant portfolio with a view to AI impact.
• Own end-to-end grant cycle: RFP design, pipeline development, review, and Steering Committee workflows.
• Conduct programmatic due diligence including site visits and organizational assessment.
• Coordinate with Finance & Operations on charitable-status vetting and payments.
• Develop grantmaking priorities with the Executive Director and Steering Committee.
• Build coalitions across civil society, labor, academia, and industry.
• Design ecosystem convenings for funders, grantees, and the field.
• Translate learning into strategy; produce impact summaries for committees and public release.
• Advise the ED on program strategy and narrative.
