Job summary

Primordial Labs is seeking a Strategy & Business Analytics Lead to develop the company’s analytics capability and deliver dashboards across the business. You’ll connect data from BD, programs, product, engineering, and finance to produce clear insights for executive decision-making.

As a 100% remote role open to US residents, you will own data quality, automate reporting, and present trends to leadership. The position requires strong Power BI and Excel modeling skills and a track record building

Qualifications

• 5+ years in strategy/ops, business operations, or analytics role.

• Proficiency with Power BI or similar BI platform and Excel modeling.
• Comfort with relational data and multiple data sources; SQL a plus.

Our core product, Anura, translates spoken or typed intent into structured actions across drones, sensors, and mission software—enabling faster, more intuitive control in high-stakes environments. We’re a distributed team of engineers, operators, and technologists focused on deploying reliable autonomy at the tactical edge.

The Opportunity

The Strategy & Business Analytics Lead builds and runs the analytic tools leadership uses to manage the business. The role connects data from business development, programs, product, engineering, and finance into integrated dashboards and analyses. The Lead also interprets the results and briefs leadership on what they mean for the business.

The role suits an analytical problem solver with practical data skills. The Lead works with the Head of Strategy to stand up the company's analytics capability, then owns its build-out and day-to-day operation. The role sits in the Strategy function and works directly with the executive team to inform leadership on KPIs and trajectory of the business.

What You'll Do

Data and Tools

• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytic tools, leveraging a suite of tools that may include Power BI, the CRM, customer data models, financial forecasts, and related platforms
• Connect data across CRM, contracts, finance, and program systems into consistent, reliable views to create a single source of truth for the business
• Automate recurring reporting and data workflows using low-code and AI-assisted tools
• Maintain data quality and proper handling of sensitive and controlled information

Business Analysis

• Translate open-ended leadership questions into structured analyses and clear recommendations
• Analyze pipeline health, win rates, capture investment, and revenue forecasts
• Model program performance, resource allocation, and operational trade-offs
• Diagnose performance gaps and process breakdowns and recommend corrective actions to functional leads

Leadership Reporting

• Track performance against the metrics and goals set by leadership
• Produce the analytic content for recurring business reviews, board materials, and annual planning
• Brief leadership on trends, risks, and performance shifts with clear interpretation
• Refine dashboards and reporting as leadership priorities evolve

Process and Systems

• Map core business processes with functional owners to inform tool and dashboard design
• Recommend improvements to business systems and tools as the company scales
• Identify where additional data or technical support would add leverage

About You

• 5+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy and operations, business operations, finance, or a comparable analytical operating role
• Demonstrated record of structuring ambiguous business problems and delivering recommendations to senior executives
• Demonstrated record of building dashboards, models, or analytic tools that leaders use to run a business
• Proficiency in Power BI or a comparable BI platform, and advanced financial and operational modeling in Excel
• Comfort working with relational data and connecting multiple data sources; SQL familiarity a plus
• Experience building business applications with low-code platforms or AI-assisted development tools
• Strong executive communication, written and verbal
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Management consulting experience at a top-tier strategy firm
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or national security, including familiarity with DoD acquisition, contracting, and program structures
• Experience at a venture-backed company during a scale-up phase
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or Fabric, ideally in a government cloud environment

Compensation

Compensation for this position includes a target base salary of $130,000 - $165,000 annually, with the specific figure determined by the candidate's experience level.
