Job summary

Our client, a leading multi-strategy hedge fund in New York, seeks a Business Strategy professional to partner with senior leadership on strategic priorities spanning business development, operations, product strategy, and human capital.

You will work cross-functionally with trading, technology, and risk teams to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and help execute the platform's strategic roadmap in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, strategy, or hedge fund contexts.
• Exposure to systematic trading, quantitative investing, or asset management is a strong plus.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not required.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with Excel/PowerPoint; SQL or Python familiarity is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex issues for senior audiences.
• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives across the systematic equity trading business.
• Drive operational improvement projects and scalable solutions across the trading lifecycle.
• Support product strategy, including evaluation of new trading strategies and opportunities.
• Contribute to human capital initiatives and talent strategy for the business.
• Conduct market research, benchmarking, and financial/data analysis to inform decisions.
• Prepare materials and analyses for investment committees and firm leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects across trading, technology, risk, legal, and operations.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor moves, and regulatory developments relevant to systematic equities.
