Job description

FROM STARTUP STRATEGY TO TRANSFORMATIONAL M&A

You've spent the last 5-7 years helping build something meaningful. Maybe you've worked in Strategic Finance, Corporate Strategy, Business Operations, Chief of Staff, FP&A, Investor Relations, Corporate Development, or a similar role at a high-growth startup. You've built operating plans, helped evaluate new markets, worked alongside founders and executives, raised capital, analyzed strategic opportunities, and influenced important business decisions.

At one point, you may have considered investment banking. Instead, you chose the startup world because you wanted to be closer to decision-making, closer to execution, and closer to impact.

Now you may be ready for a different challenge. Our client is a different kind of strategic advisory firm. They combine the intellectual rigor of elite strategy consulting with the execution excellence of top-tier M&A advisory.

Their teams partner directly with CEOs, Boards of Directors, founders, and senior executives at many of the world's most influential companies to help shape enterprise strategy and execute transactions that redefine industries.

This is not traditional investment banking. Their work begins long before a transaction is announced. They help leadership teams answer their most important strategic questions:

  • Where should the company compete?
  • How should capital be allocated to maximize long-term value?
  • Which capabilities should be built internally versus acquired?
  • What strategic moves will create durable competitive advantage?
  • How can M&A accelerate the achievement of a company's long-term vision?

These conversations frequently lead to some of the most consequential mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions in the marketplace.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 5-7 years of experience in Strategic Finance, Corporate Strategy, Business Operations, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Chief of Staff, or related functions
  • Experience at high-growth startups, venture-backed companies, or technology-enabled businesses
  • A record of exceptional academic achievement, demonstrating the intellectual foundation that has fueled your professional success
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • A history of driving high-impact strategic initiatives and influencing senior leadership decisions Exceptional communication skills and executive presence
  • Demonstrated interest in corporate finance, business strategy, and M&A
  • Intellectual curiosity, humility, and a desire to solve complex, high-stakes business challenges
WHY MAKE THIS MOVE?
  • Work directly with CEOs, founders, boards, and C-suite executives Influence strategic decisions at the world's largest and most important enterprises
  • Apply your operating and strategic experience across a broad range of industries and business situations
  • Develop expertise at the intersection of strategy, finance, and transformational M&A
  • Join a culture that values thoughtful advice, long-term relationships, and excellence in execution
  • Help shape transactions that change companies, industries, and markets If you've enjoyed helping build a company and want to apply those same strategy and finance skills to shaping the future of entire industries, we would welcome a conversation.

Our Client has a reputation for the highest pay in this category. In fact, they pride themselves on how well they pay their team. Look for significant bonuses.
