Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant to join our Defense and Security Segment, leading workforce transformation efforts for the DHS OCHCO. You will oversee a team delivering strategic human capital programs, including revised hiring, retention, performance management, and workforce development processes.

The role involves coordinating senior stakeholders, developing implementation plans, and producing briefing materials for leadership.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 7+ years of experience leading strategic human capital transformation and implementation, with 5+ years in management consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce transformation efforts for the DHS Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer.
• Direct a team in developing strategic HR and workforce transformation initiatives, including revised hiring, retention, performance management and development processes.
• Conduct stakeholder analyses and develop personas and journey maps.
• Prepare briefing materials and communicate program status to senior leaders.
• Ensure timely delivery and technical accuracy across multiple concurrent assignments.

What You Will Do

Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant to join our Defense and Security Segment, where they will lead workforce transformation efforts for the Department of Homeland Security Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer organization. The Managing Consultant will lead a team in the development of strategic human capital and workforce transformation efforts including revised hiring, retention, performance management, and workforce development processes among other functions.

The Managing Consultant Have The Following Experience

• Leading teams in the development of strategic human capital and workforce transformation efforts and accompanying implementations plans
• Leading and directing teams in stakeholder analyses, including segmenting and developing stakeholder personas and journey maps
• Conducting current state assessments, formulating recommendations, and creating robust implementation plans
• Leading and directing teams in the analysis if human capital related data and gleaning critical insights
• Developing metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of strategic human capital transformation efforts
• Preparing for and leading internal and external stakeholder discussions, client meetings, and leadership briefings
• Providing direction and technical assistance to a team of at least 5 in the areas of problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation for complex solutions
• Managing multiple concurrent assignments while directing the work of a team and ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery of all products
• Preparing a wide range of briefing materials and concise summaries of assessments, evaluations, and plans communicate program status and progress to senior leaders

What You Will Need

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree
• SEVEN (7) or more years of experience leading strategic human capital transformation and implementation solutions and directing the work of a team, with FIVE (5) or more years of management consulting experience in human capital

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications
• Experience consulting for the DHS
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of business, both written and verbal
• Ability to adapt quickly and develop successful professional relationships
• Experience working in DHS

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
