Referment, in partnership with a global investment firm, is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate focused on commercial data insights within its strategy and business development function. The role translates complex data into actionable recommendations shaping client engagement and strategy.

You will analyze data across marketing, client engagement and communications, present findings to senior leaders, and collaborate with data and software teams to improve the information and systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 2–6 years in commercial insights or strategic analysis.
• Direct experience in a global investment firm or major financial institution is essential for this role.
• Strong commercial judgment, project management and data-visualisation skills.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency with Power BI or Tableau.
• Technical proficiency in Python and Prompt Engineering for automating research or reporting workflows.
• Experience with ESG or climate-related data analysis is highly regarded.
• Clear written and verbal communication; CRM or engagement-data experience is useful.

Referment is working with a global investment firm to hire an Associate or Senior Associate focused on commercial data insights within its strategy and business development function. The role works closely with investor relations and external communications, translating complex data into recommendations that shape client engagement, product thinking and business strategy.

You will combine hands-on analysis with stakeholder partnership. The work covers defining business intelligence needs, presenting conclusions to senior leaders, and collaborating with data and software teams to improve the information and systems behind commercial decisions.

The Role

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor's degree and between 2 to 6 years of post-graduate experience in commercial insights or strategic analysis.
• Direct experience working within a global investment firm or a major financial institution is essential for this role.
• Strong commercial judgment, project management and data-visualisation skills.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency with tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Technical proficiency in Python and Prompt Engineering, specifically applied to automating research or reporting workflows.
• Experience with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) or climate-related data analysis is highly regarded.
• Clear written and verbal communication; CRM or engagement-data experience is useful.

This role is ideal for a commercial insights analyst, strategy analyst or analytically strong client-development professional at the Associate level who enjoys carrying recommendations through to implementation.
