Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Forestry or related field.
• Significant pulpwood and/or wood chip procurement experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, managing teams and driving results.
• Strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, government agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel overnight as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage pulpwood and wood chip supply strategies to meet production, inventory, and cost targets.
• Administer procurement contracts and supplier agreements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, landowners, government agencies, and industry partners.
• Ensure wood fiber quality specifications are consistently met.
• Collaborate with Pulp and Power Operations and wood yard personnel to support safe and efficient operations.
• Partner with Accounting to maintain auditable settlements, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Lead procurement activities in compliance with FSC, SFI, and PEFC certification requirements.
• Represent Domtar within forestry organizations and regulatory agencies to promote sustainable forestry practices.
