URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. is seeking a strategic Director of Merchandise Planning, Wholesale based in our New York City showroom.

This leader will oversee wholesale planning, financial forecasting, and inventory strategy across our activewear business, partnering with Sales, Finance, and Merchandising to drive growth. You will manage OTB, margin protection, and cross-functional initiatives, guiding a high-performing planning team across department stores, digital partners, and international

Qualificações

• 10+ years of progressive leadership in Wholesale Merchandise Planning, Category Financial Analysis, or Inventory Operations in apparel (activewear/performance experience preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
• Deep mastery of wholesale P&L dynamics, bottom-up 6-month financial planning, OTB management, margin allowances, and financial modeling.
• Proven track record of aligning cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Operations) and managing credit/risk across major retail channels.

Responsabilidades

• Financial Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, 6-month plans, and monthly forecasts by store type and region.
• OTB & Inventory Strategy: Manage OTB, category demand, forecast regular prices, and plan closeouts.
• Risk & Long-Range Planning: Audit forecasts, reserves, markdowns, bad debt exposure, and long-range initiatives.
• Revenue & Margin Protection: Track gross sales projection to net sales, monitor channel profitability, and minimize markdowns.
