Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Dallas, TX is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead warehousing operations and ensure safe, efficient handling of customer inventory.

The role requires 5+ years in freight forwarding warehousing, supervisory experience, and proven ability to drive KPIs and cost controls; the package includes bonuses, 401(k) match, stock purchase, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental, plus PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Freight Forwarding Warehousing operations is required.
• 2+ years supervisory or management experience is required.
• Experience with process improvement activities and initiatives required.
• Experience with customer-facing responsibilities strongly preferred.
• Understanding of TSA, C-TPAT, DOT and Hazmat regulations strongly preferred.
• Unionized work experience a plus.
• P&L/Budget/financial experience a plus.
• SAP software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for good working practices, safety, and security for customer inventory.
• Participates in development and ensures implementation of warehouse operations strategy to provide smooth operations.
• Provides customized solutions for customers in warehousing, inventory control & analysis, transportation, and technical support.
• Responsible for the KPIs of the product and ensures budget targets are met.
• Supervises staff, responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff.
• Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance.
