Job summary

Hill College in Burleson, TX seeks a strategic Vice President of Administrative Services to lead the College’s business and financial operations, ensuring fiscal integrity and operational efficiency.

The role oversees budgeting, purchasing, risk management, capital planning, and reporting, reporting to the President, and coordinating with THECB. Requires a BA in business-related field and 10 years of relevant experience; CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Ten (10) years’ experience in accounting, audit administration, and supervisory management.
• Certified public accountant preferred.
• Experience in governmental accounting preferred.
• Experience in higher education management with a community college background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Has primary responsibility for managing business operations, accounting procedures, financial planning and management, business accounting, risk management, endowment and investment management, and facilities management.
• Administers the institutional operating budget including revenue projections, budget development and approval.
• Designs, establishes, and maintains procedures for the purchasing of goods and services, including the bidding process.
• Leads institutional capital master planning in consultation with CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Regents.
• Oversees the physical plant, business office, auxiliary enterprises, and all financial accounting and reporting operations.
• Supports liaison to THECB on matters pertaining to finance.
• Supervises building and wayfinding signage; hires, develops, and supervises division personnel.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to align financial operations with institutional mission and strategies.
• Understands laws applicable to public higher education and analyzes/implements financial processes for new initiatives.

Education
