NuEnergy.ai, headquartered in Ottawa, seeks a hands-on VP, Finance and Administration to own financial health and admin systems. Partner with the CEO on strategy, fundraising, and board reporting, while guiding pricing, hiring plans and governance across Canada and the US.

You will manage budgeting, cash flow, audits, tax and compliance, with oversight of payroll, contracts and security clearances. Ideal for a senior finance leader who builds scalable processes and leads cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• CPA designation in good standing.
• 10+ years of progressive finance, accounting and administration experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Experience owning full accounting cycle, budgeting, forecasting and cash management.
• Knowledge of Canadian tax, payroll and employment standards; ASPE/IFRS familiarity.
• Proven execution record building processes and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication to board, investors and stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and obtain security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead annual budgeting, multi-year planning and rolling forecasts aligned to strategy.
• Manage cash flow, runway and working capital; provide risk visibility to CEO.
• Develop financial models for pricing, hiring and investments.
• Oversee month/year-end close and board-ready reporting.
• Coordinate audits and design internal controls and policies.
• Oversee tax, GST/HST, payroll filings and government funding programs.
• Support fundraising and investor relations with financial data rooms and due diligence.
• Oversee payroll, benefits, vendor contracts and office operations.
