Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area.
• Experience with GAAP and financial reporting processes.
• Experience supervising general ledger and consolidation across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes strategies and standards related to accounting policy, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and financial systems and controls.
• Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and coordinates the preparation of financial statements and filings in compliance with GAAP.
• Conducts ad hoc analyses of the organization's finances and presents findings to executive leadership for decision making and planning.
• Develops internal controls and oversees audits of policies and procedures meant to preserve the organization's assets.
• Responsible for AP/AR and payroll functions.
• Evaluates US accounting standards to record project related transactions in compliance with GAAP guidance requirements and company policies.
• Directly supervises general ledger functions related to profit recognition and consolidation for multiple-entity construction specialty contracting companies.
• Interpreting accounting reports and implementing changes to improve reporting and/or accounting processes and procedures.
• Providing timely, accurate and meaningful information to aid executive management decisions.
• Compiling yearly audit schedules and assisting Senior Director of Financial Reporting with audit.
• Assisting with managing relationships with independent auditors.
• Complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and assisting Senior Director with tax filings.
