As a legal and strategic partner alongside the sales team, you will train, advise, and offer hands-on support, growing with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active Mississippi license.
• Minimum 2+ years of transactional legal experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to assess risk and provide practical solutions.
• Ability to analyze complex title matters and underwrite.
• Team player with ability to collaborate with Underwriting Counsel.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support and counsel to title agents, company personnel, and their customers.
• Advise on real estate settlement services.
• Issue underwriting standards and guidelines.
• Underwrite title insurance within delegated authority.
• Maintain knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to title insurance and settlement services.
• Keep abreast of underwriting for real estate transactions.
• Assist customers in moving transactions toward closing with professionalism and insight.
• Build a reputation as a trusted legal advisor for agents.
• Deliver internal and external educational presentations on underwriting topics.
