Job summary

Ankura is seeking a Director to join its Turnaround & Restructuring (T&R) team. This role can be located in New York, Dallas, or Chicago with potential for other locations.

The Director will critique complex analyses, lead associates, and present findings to C-suite clients, applying advanced financial modeling, bankruptcy concepts, and disciplined project management to drive value in distressed situations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a top tier management consulting firm.
• Undergraduate degree from a top academic institution.
• Advanced degree and/or professional certification (CFA, CIRA, CPA) preferred.
• Restructuring experience or financial advisory/M&A experience is preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively and work long hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Critique and guide complex analyses.
• Identify patterns in data and drive hypotheses.
• Develop understanding of analytic tools including Excel.
• Work directly with clients to obtain data.
• Disaggregate complex problems into simpler parts.
• Present findings to senior stakeholders and clients.
