Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and CA Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in trust and estate administration.
• LLM in Taxation strongly preferred.
• Clear, logical legal writing with analyses integrated into work.
• Excellent organization, computer skills, and math skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Counsel trustees through all phases of trust administration.
• Prepare trust administration documents and asset distributions.
• Value trust and estate assets; prepare related returns.
• Draft and file court documents such as probates and petitions.
• Oversee court matters from petition to signed orders.
• Conduct legal research to support trust and estate matters.
• Collaborate with paralegals, assistants, and other attorneys.
• Communicate directly with clients and advisors.
