Job summary

Arconic Corporation in Alcoa, TN is seeking a Supply Chain Transportation Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Department. The successful candidate will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, partner with carriers, and support tactical logistics in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will use SAP and Transportation Management Software (TMS), monitor shipments, resolve issues, and work with cross-functional teams to improve transportation performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; degree in supply chain preferred.
• 1+ year related experience in logistics or transportation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of SAP, Oracle or similar inventory systems.
• Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (e.g., E2Open).
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and teamwork ability.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize transport routes and schedules for domestic and international shipments using SAP and TMS.
• Coordinate inbound scrap shipments with external customers and processors.
• Work with freight carriers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely movement of materials.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Resolve transportation issues promptly and identify solutions.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to address daily tactical transportation needs.
• Evaluate carrier performance and reporting, supporting lean initiatives.
