Job summary

Humboldt Pacific LLC is seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day interstate transportation operations including fuel transport, heavy equipment hauling, dispatch, and fleet utilization.

You will supervise dispatch staff, ensure compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations, and drive operational profitability while expanding customer partnerships and revenue opportunities. This role combines office leadership with field coordination in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of operations experience, preferably in transportation/logistics/fuel hauling.
• Experience managing 24/7 dispatch operations preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations, hazmat, fleet operations, and maintenance practices preferred.
• Experience with POS/billing or accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily interstate transportation operations, including fuel and heavy equipment hauling.
• Coordinate dispatch schedules for drivers, equipment, and customer deliveries.
• Ensure efficient routing, load planning, and fleet utilization.
• Monitor performance and address disruptions in real time; support after-hours needs.
• Lead safety meetings, compliance, and training initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with customers and support business growth.
• Assist with budgeting, cost controls, and profitability initiatives.
