Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an intern to join our Transportation Advisory Services Team, with preferred locations in Austin, Chicago, or Bellevue. You will support the development of strategic communications materials for transportation clients, including websites, emails, social media, and presentations, while learning to craft clear, accessible content for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelors or Master's degree in Planning or a related field.
• Master's Degree Preferred
• Interest in transportation and public communications is a plus.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver integrated strategic communications products and services to transportation clients including DOTs, commissions, toll authorities, and planning agencies.
• Support content creation including websites, videos, emails, social media content, presentations, and meeting management.
• Help craft collateral explaining technical content for clients, stakeholders, and lay audiences.
