Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a qualified accounting professional in the United States to manage month-end reconciliations, specialized transactional accounting procedures, and guidance to management. This role supports audits and external reporting while aligning with global accounting rules and internal policies.

A BS or MS in Accounting is required, with experience in transactional accounting and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the month-end reconciliation of transactional accounting and related balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Executes highly specialized transactional accounting procedures with policy support regarding applicable pronouncements and requirements.
• Provides financial guidance to management and operations, identifying changes to create efficient and value-added processes.
• Assists with company’s annual audit of transactional accounting processes, including review and follow-up on audit findings and recommendations.
• Prepares and reviews external reporting required for governmental agencies on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Supports the global accounting function in the creation, adaptation and review of proposed global common accounting rules and recommendations to transactional accounting.
