Job summary

GlobalFoundries inc. is seeking a US Tool Install and Construction Category Lead to coordinate tool-install and construction sourcing for Fab 8 in Malta, NY and Fab 9 in Burlington, VT.

You will partner with management, trades, Finance, and Legal to optimize supplier relationships, run cost analyses, and support program objectives while ensuring on-time delivery and quality. This role may be based at either Northeast site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of one year of experience in procurement, construction project coordination, or a related area; internship or co-op can count.
• Basic understanding of sourcing concepts, principles, and practices; willingness to develop.
• Ability to organize and support multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Familiarity with standard procurement practices and contracts; interest in negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate US tool-install and construction category activities to support capacity ramp expansions.
• Support execution of the US procurement strategy and project-procurement activities.
• Serve as day-to-day contact for assigned suppliers; support development and partnerships.
• Assist in regional negotiations and contract execution with guidance from management and Legal.
• Perform benchmarking, spend and commodity analysis; identify cost-saving opportunities.
