Job summary

Collins Pine Company (Collins) is seeking a Director of Western Timberlands to lead strategic management of timberland operations across the western region. You will oversee planning, harvesting, procurement, reforestation, forest management, and regulatory compliance, coordinating with manufacturing to optimize resource use.

This role requires a track record of long-term strategic planning, budgeting, and leadership of forestry teams, with extensive travel across western states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Forest Management, Natural Resources, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in timberland management, forestry, timber procurement, or forest products operations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the long-term strategy for western timberland operations in alignment with the executive team.
• Establish and operate annual and multi-year timber harvest and procurement plans.
• Manage timberland resources to ensure forest health and maximize long-term value while maintaining sustainable practices.
• Develop operating budgets, capital plans, and performance objectives for western timberlands.
• Establish measurable goals for timber inventory, harvest volumes, costs, reforestation, productivity, and resource performance.
• Provide regular operational and financial reporting to executive management.
• Identify opportunities to improve timberland productivity, asset value, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate timberland acquisitions, dispositions, leases, easements, and other strategic opportunities.
