Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a threat intel manager to build and run the CBRN-E & Advanced Weapons team within Threat Intelligence. You will mature this from a promising start into a rigorous program, hiring investigators with domain expertise and guiding detection toward CBRN‑specific signals.

You will lead investigations into attempts to misuse Anthropic's systems for CBRN‑E threats, engage government and scientific stakeholders, and communicate findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum: intelligence analyst or policy expert with deep domain expertise in biosecurity, chemical defense, weapons non-proliferation, or related CBRN‑E threat domains.
• Experience leading investigative teams and building programs.
• Experience with threat actor profiling, threat intel frameworks, and collection frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with large language models and how AI could be misused for CBRN‑E threats.
• Excellent stakeholder management across researchers, policy experts, legal, government, and partners.
• Ability to present analytical work to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy, priorities, and outcomes for the CBRN‑E & Advanced Weapons mission area; mature it into a rigorous program.
• Hire, manage, and develop investigators with deep domain expertise across biological, chemical, and weapons‑development threat areas.
• Lead investigations into attempts to use our systems to develop or disseminate CBRN‑E weapons or advanced capabilities.
• Evolve detection toward CBRN‑specific signals in partnership with collections engineers.
• Set analytic quality standards grounded in real threat actor behavior and open‑source research.
• Lead external engagement with government agencies and biosecurity communities.
