Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Manager, Technical Accounting to lead our technical accounting research, provide financial reporting oversight, and formulate and implement company-wide accounting policies.

As Crusoe scales and takes on increasingly complex financings, partnerships, and international operations, this role is the Company's subject matter expert on how those transactions are accounted for — analyzing new and unique deals for appropriate treatment and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC

Qualifications

• Six or more years of total accounting and audit experience.
• Licensed CPA with deep technical US GAAP and SEC reporting knowledge.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills; ability to translate complex accounting concepts for non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transaction research and evaluation (debt/equity, consolidation, leases, revenue recognition) and other topics.
• Prepare clear technical accounting memoranda documenting conclusions and US GAAP compliance.
• Review and contribute to the external quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes.
• Author the MD&A to clearly narrate financial results and trends.
• Formulate global accounting policies and assist with organization-wide implementation.
• Monitor and interpret new accounting pronouncements (FASB, SEC) and plan adoption.
• Coordinate with external auditors on accounting positions and financial statements.
• Support SOX controls and the internal control environment across processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
