Job summary

Verisign in Reston, VA is seeking an experienced Technology Sourcing and Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, and supplier negotiations for IT equipment, software, and services. The role requires collaboration with finance, legal, risk, and technology teams to align procurement with business goals.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in strategic sourcing, strong analytical skills, and a track record of improving procurement processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of related progressively responsible experience leading strategic sourcing and contracting initiatives across various spend categories.
At least 5 years of experience in technology sourcing and procurement, ideally in a tech-driven environment.
At least 2 years of leading complex sourcing and contracting initiatives on enterprise software agreements.
Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills with the experience and desire to make data-driven recommendations.
Track record in leading procurement process improvement initiatives.
Experience using procurement and contract management systems (e.g., Oracle, Workday, Zycus, SAP).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for data analysis) and PowerPoint (building executive-level presentations).
Graduate Degree or equivalent work experience
Experience influencing cross-functional teams
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)

Responsibilities

Leads the execution of strategic sourcing and competitive bidding initiatives, including spend and data analysis, drafting RFPs, evaluating proposals, and negotiating with suppliers.
Collaborates with stakeholders on business and technical requirements and throughout the procurement process.
Leads the negotiation of commercial terms with suppliers.
Maintains documentation including sourcing assessments and deliverables, supplier performance information, compliance metrics and value capture results.
Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions and coordinates purchasing activities with the procurement strategy, including use of preferred suppliers.
Leads and/or participates in the supplier performance management reviews.
Develops and maintains policies and procedures for procurement related processes, identifying opportunities for key improvements in these areas.
Identify, track and report on spend and other key metrics.
