Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a technology contracting professional to negotiate software, SaaS, hardware, and professional services agreements. The role focuses on mitigating risk, building vendor relationships, and leading cross-functional sourcing efforts to meet client needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates have 2–3 years of contract law and project management experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and a business/IT risk management educational background.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience with contract law, compliance, and risk assessment.
• 2–3 years’ experience with project management.
• Experience negotiating mutually beneficial vendor partnerships.
• Data-driven analysis, problem solving, strategy creation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across organizational levels.
• Ability to manage high volumes in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree focusing on business, risk management, or IT preferred.
• Information technology background or experience preferred.
• Up to 3 years’ experience in technology contracting, procurement, sourcing, or vendor management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate technology-focused contracts covering Software, SaaS, Hardware, and Professional Services.
• Mitigate business, financial, legal, reputational, and technical risk through contracting.
• Establish and maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships with key technology vendors.
• Lead and provide oversight to cross-functional teams throughout the sourcing process.
• Manage technology categories to optimize Securian Financial spend while meeting or exceeding client needs.
• Drive alignment with enterprise-wide goals and key business outcomes.
• Support technology transformation initiatives using a relationship-first approach.
• Lead technology sourcing, contracting, category management, and vendor management activities.
