Job summary

CACI is seeking a Tech Refresh Hardware Engineer to support the DIA CIS program in Chantilly, VA. You will analyze requirements and architectures to design upgrades of IT hardware and software solutions, working with operations teams and government stakeholders.

The role emphasizes collaboration, AoA analyses, lab testing, and transition to operations, with TS/SCI clearance and poly required, and up to 10% travel across the Continental USA.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph prior to start.
• DOD 8140 Certification applicable to role (minimum Security+).
• Experience levels: AA with 14+ years, BS/BA 12+, MS/MA 10+, or PhD 8+ years.
• Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience designing, integrating, validating, and implementing IT hardware and software solutions.
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
• Degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations teams and Government stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure availability, reliability, resiliency, and operability objectives are well understood and achievable.
• Research optimal design characteristics and conduct Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs) for informed decision-making on technology options.
• Incorporate capacity, performance, and other service-level metrics into designs for optimal user experience and infrastructure utilization.
• Develop test cases and scripts for unit and system tests and prep for deployment.
• Support transfer of engineered solutions to Operations teams during acceptance, blue/green fielding, and initial use.
