Moore Beauston & Woodham LLC CPAs seeks a Senior Tax Leader in Columbia, SC, offering hybrid options. You will drive engagement strategy, serve as a trusted advisor to key client accounts, and help shape the firm’s growth and talent development.

You will lead complex engagements, provide advanced tax planning, mentor staff, and partner with leadership on strategic initiatives while staying ahead of evolving tax laws.

Qualifications

• CPA license is required for the role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MST or MAcc strongly preferred.
• 8–10+ years of progressive public accounting experience with tax leadership.
• Advanced expertise across individual, corporate, partnership and multi-state taxation.
• Executive presence with ability to advise business owners and C-suite.
• Strategic mindset and strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency with modern tax software and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Engagement oversight and technical review of complex tax engagements.
• Provide sophisticated tax planning and advisory services for clients.
• Lead primary relationships with key client accounts.
• Mentor managers and senior staff to build technical leadership.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategy, capacity and growth.
• Drive workflow improvements and use tax technologies to enhance accuracy.
• Stay ahead of evolving tax laws and lead internal trainings.
