Job summary

CLA Florida is seeking a Tax Director or Manager to join the Business Tax team. This in-office role is based in Fort Myers, Naples, Tampa, Lakeland, or Orlando. You will consult with franchise ownership on tax planning and business processes, lead tax engagements, and mentor team members to build inspired careers.

You will review complex returns for partnerships, S-corps, pass-through entities, and high-net-worth individuals, with opportunities to advance your career within a top national firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Active JD, CPA, or EA certification.
• 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting or professional services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with franchise ownership clients on tax planning and business processes such as succession.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to support career growth.
• Foster opportunities for clients, communities, and people.
• Attend industry events and trainings to stay current.
• Perform a range of tax procedures per engagement size and complexity.
• Review complex partnership, S-corp, pass-through, and high-net-worth tax returns.
