Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, International Trade, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, International Trade, or a related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in related field
  • Experience in supply chain, procurement, trade compliance, customs operations, or a related business function.
  • Knowledge of tariff regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications, and international trade practices.
  • Experience working with supplier management processes and cross-functional business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze supplier tariff expenditures and report tariff-related costs across the supplier base.
  • Develop and administer annual automotive tariff request processes, including preparation, submission, and coordination of financial requirements with Finance.
  • Track supplier tariff credit utilization and drawdown activities to ensure accurate accounting and budget compliance.
  • Partner with Information Technology teams to design and implement automated systems and reporting tools that improve tariff tracking accuracy and visibility.
  • Maintain expertise on evolving tariff regulations and assess the potential impact of tariff changes on SIA suppliers and sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and educational resources to suppliers regarding tariff requirements, regulatory changes, and compliance expectations.
  • Collaborate with Customs, Legal, and cross-functional stakeholders to interpret regulatory updates and ensure organizational compliance with applicable trade regulations.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive tariff database, including Section 122, Section 232, Section 301, and other applicable tariff programs, to support impact assessments and business decision-making.
  • Provide Planning and Finance teams with timely updates regarding budget impacts related to tariff allocations, utilization rates, and projected runout scenarios.
  • Support the development and validation of tariff budgets by ensuring the accuracy of assumptions, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Review and validate Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications to ensure compliance and accuracy; work with suppliers to identify classification errors and drive tariff cost reduction opportunities.
  • Analyze tariff exposure and recommend strategies to mitigate cost impacts while maintaining compliance with trade regulations and company objectives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
