Job summary

Mentor Technical Group seeks a Strategic Talent Partner to provide strategic talent acquisition solutions aligned with organizational objectives. You will partner with Hiring Managers to understand workforce needs and deliver data-driven recommendations that improve hiring outcomes.

You will lead the full-cycle recruitment for professional, technical, leadership, and specialized roles, build proactive pipelines, and deliver workforce analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, psychology, or related field required; master's preferred.
  • Minimum of two years in Talent Acquisition.
  • Experience partnering with Hiring Managers and leaders.
  • Experience recruiting technical, engineering, manufacturing, pharma, biotech, or related roles preferred.
  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals/biotech/medical devices and healthcare industries is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary TA advisor for assigned units, guiding workforce planning and talent strategies.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to identify current/future needs and develop recruitment plans.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for professional, technical, leadership roles; manage offers and onboarding.
  • Design sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill and high-volume roles to ensure timely hires.
  • Develop talent pipelines and communities for ongoing workforce needs.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics and labor market trends to improve outcomes.
  • Prepare dashboards, forecasts, and executive-level reports on hiring activity.
  • Promote DEIB in hiring and ensure compliance with employment laws and policies.

About the Role:

The Strategic Talent Partner serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders by providing strategic talent acquisition solutions aligned with organizational objectives. This role partners closely with Hiring Managers to understand workforce needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and deliver data-driven recommendations that improve hiring outcomes. The position is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle while acting as a consultant on talent market trends, workforce planning, employer branding, and hiring best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Talent Acquisition experience.
  • Experience partnering directly with Hiring Managers and business leaders.
  • Experience recruiting technical, engineering, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other specialized positions preferred.
  • Experiencewithin the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, Food and Beverage, and Healthcare Industries is highly desirable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), recruitment technologies, and other business software applications, with the ability to effectively utilize technology to support talent acquisition, reporting, data management, and workforce planning activities.

  • Preferred Certifications: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR, AIRS Certification, LinkedIn Recruiter Certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Talent Acquisition advisor for assigned business units, providing strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent acquisition strategies, labor market conditions, and talent availability to support business objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders and Hiring Managers to identify current and future workforce needs, assess talent gaps, and develop recruitment strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for professional, technical, leadership, and specialized positions, from requisition planning through offer acceptance and onboarding transition.
  • Design and execute targeted sourcing and recruitment strategies for critical, hard-to-fill, high-volume, and business-critical positions to ensure timely acquisition of qualified talent.
  • Develop and maintain proactive talent pipelines and talent communities to support ongoing and future workforce requirements.
  • Analyze labor market trends, recruiting metrics, and workforce data to provide recommendations that improve hiring effectiveness, workforce planning, and recruitment outcomes.
  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret key recruitment metrics to drive data-informed decisions and continuous process improvement.
  • Prepare and present recruitment dashboards, workforce analytics, hiring forecasts, and executive-level reports.
  • Recommend and implement innovative recruiting practices, technologies, and automation solutions to enhance talent acquisition effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, company policies, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and audit-ready recruitment records within applicant tracking and HR systems.
  • Promote fair, equitable, inclusive, and accessible hiring practices that support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives.
  • Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and reporting activities related to recruiting practices and employment regulations.
  • Utilizes strong communication and interpersonal skills daily to build trust and influence leaders and employees across the organization.

Physical Demands
  • Primarily sedentary role requiring extended periods of sitting while conducting interviews, meetings, sourcing activities, and data analysis.

  • Ability to read, review, and analyze resumes, reports, recruitment metrics, employment documents, and electronic records.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching while attending meetings, training sessions, and recruitment events.
  • May occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Requires sufficient visual acuity to review electronic information, conduct virtual meetings, and prepare reports and presentations.
  • Occasional travel within Puerto Rico (up to 10%) to support career fairs, networking events, client meetings, site visits, and recruiting activities.
