Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong MS Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lead through influence rather than authority.

Responsibilities

• Review short-term and Long-term demand for steel products and create detailed production plans to meet that demand.
• Partner with Demand Planning to understand forecast changes and demand variability.
• Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
• Prepare supply planning inputs, capacity analysis, and inventory projections for S&OP reviews.
• Identify risks and opportunities impacting supply, inventory, service, or cost performance.
• Recommend corrective actions to align supply plans with business objectives.
• Analyze root causes of supply disruptions and inventory issues.
• Maintain 26-week detailed production schedule for multiple Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel mills located in the northeast United States.
• Coordinate with operations teams in mills and ensure efficient sequence of production.
• Work with schedulers to facilitate weekly production meetings with operations, logistics, and sales teams.
• Provide forward looking analysis to adjust production to prevent over/under production.
• Maintains data for production speeds / capacity.
• Create and manage replenishment plans between mills and warehouse depots to support customer service objectives.
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
