General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works is seeking a Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist to support the sourcing, acquisition, and administration of complex, high-dollar equipment. You will issue RFPs, evaluate proposals, perform price analyses, and negotiate terms while managing suppliers and expediting deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

Working within BIW’s Subcontracts team, you will ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and internal procedures, contributing to safety, quality, and performance

Qualifications

• Issuing RFPs, evaluating proposals, performing price analyses and negotiating.
• Managing suppliers and expediting material deliveries.
• Ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing and terms to reduce total costs and liability exposure.
• Prepare standard contract documentation (e.g., memo, price analysis, negotiation plan and results).
• Review supplier proposals for FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Develop/compile solicitation documents, including market research and negotiations.
• Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action when needed.
