Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Linthicum, Maryland is seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to source and procure hardware components and electronic parts for production and IRAD programs.

The role requires experience in procurement, price analysis, and RFQ/RFP processes, with familiarity in FAR/DFARS. Strong vendor relations and cost-reduction focus are essential for success in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, manufacturing
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
• US Citizenship

Responsibilities

• Source and procure commodities such as hardware components, COTS items, and electronic components in support of production and IRAD requirements
• Proficiency in the procurement process, including price analysis, negotiations, policies and procedures, including the FAR/DFARS
• Ability to place and oversee procurement packages
• Initiates RFQs and RFPs and analyzes proposed pricing from suppliers
• Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for services or products
• Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations
• Review, reconcile and approve supplier invoices
• Interfacing and collaborating with Programs and other organizations within and outside Global Supply Chain
• Ability to plan, schedule, and arrange activities to accomplish objectives
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be extremely organized
• Ensures documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse for proper receipt
• Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up
