Job summary

DuraMark Technologies Inc. in the United States seeks a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to lead purchasing, supplier management, and inventory functions across St. Paul, MN and Westfield, IN.

You will develop scalable processes and partner with Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales to ensure material availability and cost efficiency. The role blends process improvement, team leadership, and data analysis, reporting to the VP of Finance with a focus on material availability and inventory

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, supply chain, materials management, or related manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide purchasing across raw materials, outsourced products, production supplies, office supplies, and other purchasing categories.
• Develop and implement purchasing processes, policies, controls, and supplier standards.
• Lead supplier qualification, selection, performance management, and significant negotiations.
• Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, lead time, capacity, service, reliability, and supply risk.
• Identify opportunities to improve pricing, consolidate spending, leverage purchasing volume, and strengthen supplier terms.
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers and establish meaningful supplier performance measures.
• Lead the development of inventory management controls, stocking strategies, and replenishment methods across the organization.
• Partner with Operations and Finance to establish appropriate inventory levels while supporting production and customer requirements.
• Lead efforts to improve inventory accuracy, with an initial focus on St. Paul.
• Establish effective cycle-counting practices and processes for investigating and correcting inventory discrepancies.
• Identify and address excess, obsolete, slow-moving, and at-risk inventory.
• Evaluate inventory resource needs and recommend changes as appropriate.
• Ensure purchasing and inventory data within the ERP system is accurate, consistent, and useful for decision-making.
• Identify and correct process or system issues contributing to purchasing errors, stockouts, excess inventory, or inaccurate inventory.
• Build scalable, repeatable Supply Chain processes and controls.
• Establish KPIs and operating rhythms for reviewing purchasing, supplier, inventory, and cost performance.
• Identify, implement, and track measurable cost savings and Supply Chain improvements.
