Specialized Recruiting Group - South Central Indiana is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to hire a strategic Supply Chain Manager responsible for purchasing, planning, inventory, logistics, and supplier management. This high-impact role leads a team, drives improvements, and reports to leadership with a strong focus on performance and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 6+ years of progressive supply chain experience preferred.
• Strong background in procurement, supplier management, inventory control, and production planning.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing, inventory, and planning.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• APICS CPIM, ISM, or related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all procurement, inventory management, material planning, and logistics operations.
• Develop sourcing strategies and build supplier partnerships.
• Drive supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Negotiate contracts, lead RFQ activities, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee inventory control to maintain accuracy and availability.
• Manage inbound/outbound freight to support customers and production.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and on-time delivery.
• Coach and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
• Support forecasting, demand planning, and S&OP activities.
• Analyze inventory, purchasing, and supplier data to support decisions.
• Partner with operations and leadership to align strategy with objectives.
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
