The Boring Company in Nashville, TN is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to manage and optimize the material, equipment, and service supply chain in an in-office, full-time capacity.

You will collaborate with suppliers, coordinate driver logistics, monitor shipments, and drive cost-efficient strategies while ensuring timely deliveries and site readiness. A strong background in logistics and fleet dispatching is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience in fleet dispatching, trucking logistics, or supply chain management.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage supply chain for materials, equipment, and services.
• Collaborate with suppliers and logistics providers to build reliable supply chains.
• Optimize costs with JIT, local sourcing, or vendor partnerships.
• Monitor shipments and adjust plans in real time.
• Coordinate and schedule truck drivers for deliveries and waste removal.
• Communicate with drivers and adjust routes for traffic or delays.
• Supervise allocation of trucks and heavy equipment on-site.
• Resolve dispatch issues by reallocating resources and updating stakeholders.
• Source rental equipment from vendors based on requirements and cost.
• Execute purchase orders and communicate status to internal customers.
• Evaluate supplier quotes and maintain vendor relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast needs to avoid shortages.
