Job summary

Agri-Mark/McCadam/Cabot Creamery in Vermont seeks a Supplier Quality Manager to oversee food safety and supplier approvals across ingredient, packaging, and co-packer suppliers. You will act as resident SQF Practitioner for all warehouses and manage the SQF program, audits, training, and documentation.

The role requires leadership to foster a strong food safety culture, excellent communication, and collaboration with QA teams, with travel to manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• BS in a scientific field with 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment with equivalent leadership experience.
• SQF Practitioner experience, PCQI certification and HACCP certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of State Department of Agriculture, USPH, FDA, and USDA regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote food safety culture across facilities.
• Manage the SQF program at all warehouses including verification, validation, and training.
• Oversee inspections of stand-alone warehousing and audits of contract warehousing with QA managers.
• Manage co-packer and supplier qualification, licensing and warehouse approval processes.
• Provide metrics to monitor co-packer, supplier, warehouse and licensing performance via scorecards.
• Document food safety, quality, and regulatory records using TraceGains.
• Audit new and existing co-packers, suppliers, and licensing as needed.
• Collaborate with QA staff to complete warehouse audits and maintain records.
• Support plant QA during audits for supplier quality and warehousing.
• Maintain approved supplier and warehouse lists.
• Assist plants with warehouse and supplier issues; support supply chain as an expert.
