Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to champion cross-functional supplier quality. You will evaluate supplier capabilities, ensure incoming components meet engineering specs, and comply with nuclear and defense industry standards, driving rapid resolution of quality issues.

In this role you will lead supplier audits, containment, and corrective actions, participate in first article inspections, and partner with Manufacturing, IT, and Finance to improve quality and cost

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
ASQ CSQP certification is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with basic quality tools.
Experience in manufacturing environment; minimum 2 years.
Understanding of GD&T and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

Disposition nonconforming supplied products and initiate supplier corrective actions.
Document failure costs and manage supplier bill-back for cost recovery.
Verify effectiveness of supplier corrective actions.
Review incoming materials against documented standards.
Lead supplier quality audits and first article inspections.
