Job summary

Ralliant’s PacSci EMC division seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to lead supplier compliance and quality programs in California. You will analyze failure modes, drive RCCA tools, and influence both internal teams and supplier owners to resolve issues.

The role collaborates with Design/Manufacturing/NP development, sourcing, and Quality teams, applying 8D, Six Sigma, and Lean methods to prevent recurrence and improve supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 5–10 years in a QMS controlled production environment (AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO13485).
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software.
• ASQ certification is a plus; Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of PFMEAs, control builds and SPC.
• Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process is a plus.
• Hands on use of 8D, Ishikawa templates, 3D, 5-Whys tools.
• Training experience for Operators, QE/CQE/SQE’s.
• Experience in ordnance and energetic materials is a plus.
• Non-degreed applicants reviewed case-by-case based on related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier evaluations and compliance pass/fail assessments.
• Generate program quality metrics (PPM, Non-conformances, SCARs).
• Perform and teach Corrective Action Problem Solving (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Identify data needed for value-added business decisions.
• Prepare quality reports by analyzing data and making recommendations.
• Participate in Failure Review Board activities.
• Support Supplier Development Engineering for vendor discrepancies.
• Attend shift meetings and training sessions.
• Contribute to non-conforming investigations with SME knowledge.
• Collaborate on Inspection Plans and Reports (IPRs).
