Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a North America Supplier Planner in Raleigh, NC hybrid role, to align supplier capabilities with demand and optimize inventory across a global value chain.

You will forecast, plan capacity, analyze risks, and collaborate with suppliers, product management, sourcing, quality, and planning teams to improve supply performance and meet customer commitments. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and measurable impact on working capital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain
• Minimum 5 years of supply chain/planning experience
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Advanced Excel and analytical problem-solving skills
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate material forecasts for key suppliers
• Create constrained supplier and material plans to support S&OP processes
• Analyze demand, capacity, and supply data to identify risks and opportunities
• Partner with suppliers to understand capacity constraints and mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with product management, sourcing, quality, and planning teams to optimize supply performance
• Drive inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining service and delivery expectations
• Perform root cause analysis and implement improvements to increase plan adherence
• Support new product introductions, product transitions, and excess and obsolete inventory reduction projects
