Requirements

The Trending Solutions organization is responsible for developing new, compelling software applications used by employees of Siemens Digital Industries Software. Our employees need extensions to existing application functionality as well as support for entirely new use cases. In this role you will become part of a core team that is responsible for application development. You will have the opportunity to work with other development teams for integrating our applications into their systems. For an average day, about 80% of the time will be analyzing, designing, programming, debugging and modifying software enhancements. The remainder of the time will be spent interacting with product managers and key users to define system requirements. You will play a key role in developing software from conception to production. These are a few of the technologies that you will be exposed to:

  • HTML5, Javascript, CSS
  • AngularJS, Bootstrap
  • Charting libraries (Chart.js, Highcharts, etc…)
  • Business process diagramming (BPMN.io / bpmn-js)
  • Java development / Tomcat
  • Database persistence frameworks (i.e. MyBatis)
  • SQL for relational databases (MySQL or equivalent)
  • Git for source code management
  • Eclipse, Visual Studio Code
  • Jersey, JSON, REST

Organization Requirements

  • Studying for a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Strong coding skills in Object-Oriented programming (preferably Java)
  • Passionate about participating in a collaborative, mentorship program
  • Sharp and tenacious trouble shooting skills
  • Exceptional analytical, investigative, and communication skills
  • Commanding grasp of Microsoft office

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education.
