Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Director of State Government Affairs to lead strategies across state and local governments. You will represent Spectrum at events, build relationships with public officials, and manage negotiations to advance Spectrum’s interests in communities served.

The role requires experience in government relations, strong legislative analysis, budget planning, and the ability to travel frequently.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of political or government relations experience
• 5+ years in cable or other regulated industry, government, public policy or legislative arenas
• Background in law or public policy
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of state and local government affairs strategies
• Build relationships with public officials and policymakers
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to support Spectrum initiatives
• Represent Spectrum at events and manage negotiations to advance objectives
• Review legislation and regulatory developments for Spectrum's interests
