Qualifications

• Significant community or government affairs experience; minimum of 10 years in government, public or community development.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are required.
• Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with external constituencies including government officials and community partners.
• Ability to multi-task, manage numerous projects, and keep them on budget.
• Proven project management experience, including leading cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated success developing programs and campaigns and executing events.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publishing).

Responsibilities

• Develop a regional community engagement strategy in collaboration with the government affairs team.
• Plan and execute high-impact government-focused community events and activities within branding standards.
• Support government affairs goals by strengthening the company’s public image locally.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, nonprofits, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Direct activities to promote Spectrum visibility and improve public awareness of community commitments.
• Create briefing and debriefing documents for leadership pre/post events.
• Leverage internal assets like video production and public service announcements for outreach.
• Develop and manage regional departmental budgets and track activity metrics.
